Band ZZ Interview

Anime Station: How are you enjoying Canada so far?

ZZ: That is a very open question…….We are really enjoying going out and buying booze.

(everyone laughs)

Anime Station: Is the weather different here compared to where you are from?

ZZ: The rapid changes here are very different than in Japan. In Japan when it rains the temperature really doesn’t change much but here it does.

Anime Station: Is this your first time in Toronto or in Canada?

ZZ: This is our first time in Toronto, but last year we were in Vancouver in August.

Anime Station: What will you remember most about this trip?

ZZ: One of the members almost lost his passport (laughs).

Anime Station: What inspires your music?

ZZ: Anything and everything we see or do goes into our music. Everyone in the band has different likes and dislikes even if we are taking in the same experiences, our interpretation of it is different and affects our music differently.

Anime Station: How long have you been musicians?

ZZ: 4 of us have been working with music for 10 to 15 years while the rest of the members have around 30+ years experience.

Anime Station: Was there a movie or production that you enjoyed writing for?

ZZ: The song we wrote for the Japanese Soccer team called Samurai Blue.

Anime Station: What do you enjoy to do in your free time?

ZZ: If you are talking about at the convention we didn’t have much free time and when we did we enjoyed drinking Japanese style in our hotel rooms.

Anime Station: What about free time at home?

ZZ: We enjoy gaming, surfing, and shaving! And on the official website it says one of us shaves at least 3 times a day!
